About my Fiction

ABOUT ME

Since becoming disabled in 2015, I have searched for fiction that reflects my lived experience as a chronically ill/disabled person. I found very few examples, which encouraged me to create some myself. In February 2025, I was awarded a Research and Creation grant from the Canada Council for the Arts as an Early Career Artist in the Literature category. I have received two honourable mentions for short stories, the first in the 2021 Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition (Bitter Medicine), and the second in the Q4 2024 Writers and Illustrators of the Future short story competition (The Prince of Merchants). Both are available to read in my portfolio.

WHAT I'M UP TO

I'm currently querying ALWAYS GREENER, an adult romantic fantasy featuring a disabled main character. While I wait, I'm finishing up my first draft of Project Thanatos, an adult fantasy with strong romantic elements. You can find out more about those -- and my other projects -- below!
